Greek Salad with Grilled Steak

As promised, here is the main course that went with the Grilled Pitas with Herbed Cheese post from yesterday.

It’s a simple salad. Here are the ingredients:

  • romaine lettuce
  • grape tomatoes
  • kalamata olives
  • red onion, sliced thinly
  • crumbled feta cheese
  • canned artichoke hearts
  • flank steak, grilled or broiled & sliced
  • your favorite vinaigrette (it doesn’t really have to be your favorite) I used Ken’s Greek vinaigrette

Put all the ingredients together in a big bowl and toss. That’s it. I probably don’t have to tell you how to make a salad. 

Greek Salad with Steak

All of the Critics liked this salad. Curious George and Elmo did not eat the lettuce. Well, George ate the lettuce, but he wasn’t happy about it. Elmo liked the “chicken.” All meat is chicken, apparently, when you are two. And Sarah Crewe said she liked the artichokes, but picked around them anyway!

  2. I have never thought of adding steak to my Greek Salads! I will definitely have to give that a try. Yum!
